Healthy
Connections
Healthy Connections is an asset-based program that helps young adults (12-17) who have experienced adverse childhood experiences and other trauma build social and emotional knowledge and skills.
Participants develop an understanding of the effects of adversity and toxic stress and strategies to soothe and calm their mental and physical stress responses.
About the Program
Participants are empowered with lifelong skills to navigate challenges, build resilience, and thrive in their personal and interpersonal relationships.
We help participants build the social and emotional skills they need to move confidently through all kinds of relationships: with peers, adults, and themselves. Through guided learning and honest conversations, they gain a clearer understanding of how adverse childhood experiences and other forms of trauma can shape their mental, emotional, and physical well‑being.
Throughout the entirety of the program (delivered in both 8- and 10-week formats), we equip participants with practical coping tools and self‑care strategies that strengthen resilience, support self‑regulation, and promote overall wellness. Our goal is to help each of them create a balanced, healthy lifestyle rooted in self‑care, strong boundaries, and meaningful connections with the people around them.
